Review: Port has only been releasing music for a few years, but on the title track, he sounds like a seasoned veteran. Rolling drums and a surging bass provide the backing, and when Port combines cowbells with Wilde's lyrics - "deep down in basements we feel the groove/deep down in basements we gotta move" - it's hard not to be moved. "Tell You" shows that he's not a one-trick pony, and amid crashing cymbals and dramatic string sweeps, Port lays down irresistible jazzy piano keys and a sassy funk bass. Label boss Mathias Tanzmann completes the package with a pumping version of "Basement".

Review: No matter what the title says, there's not much noodling going on here. Both "Los Pollos Hermanos" and "Fish Fingers & Custard" are dense, rolling rhythms that provide the backdrop for breathy vocals and filtered breakdowns - and make for ideal DJ tools. However, Drastic also shows that he has a musical side and the title track sees him intertwine deep chords and dreamy filters with his dense, DJ-friendly grooves. Martin Buttrich's version also delivers the unexpected, with a slap bass and building acid lines ensuring that the tribal beats don't veer into anonymous territory .

Review: Guido Schneider has been feted as one of the leaders of minimal German house, but on this occasion he keeps the sound deeper. That's not to suggest that the title track is too reflective - a heavy drum track provides the backing, while dreamy, mushy chords and a muffled vocal lend it an air of mystique. Philip Bader adds to this feeling, his remix making the bassline dubbier and accentuating the enveloping chords. "Hanna" has a stripped back rhythm, but then that muffled vocal re-appears, shrouded in atmospheric chords. Finally, Schneider returns to his more typical sound on "Lost", where spiky percussion and heavy drums dominate.

Review: Danish minimalist Martinez is already an integral part of Leipzig's Moon Harbour imprint. Having already released three EPs for the label, including his 2008 debut and recent jam, Cheesecake," the talented producer has become an important label ambassador at live dates across the world. Now, he delivers his first LP for the imprint, and his third album overall. The aptly titled Paradigm Shift sees Martinez assimilate an abundance of deep house references into his usual palette of minimal and techno. Alongside lush moments of deepness such as the inimitable "Lavender Mist" and polished "Maresias," Martinez treats us to the warm and contented sounds of "Gourmet". Intertwining the record with bursts of funk laden electronics, such as "Solaris," "Kamino" and "Mr Decocco," Martinez is also explosive at all the right times: "Damaged Color's" slinky low bass and the driving beat of "Williamsburg" both point to a more club focused angle, giving the record yet more amiable balance.
