Review: The guys over at One-Handed Music must be the biggest artist-diggers around, now boasting a rather delicious back catalogue comprised of some of the most interesting names in UK dance music - from Bullion's early recordings to Paul White's addictive beat structures, it's shaping up to be one rather great label. This time Mo Kolours aka Joseph Deenmamode is back for his third instalment in a series of EPs, a largely experimental patchwork of acoustic oddities and leftfield melodies. Tracks like "Will B", a stumbling bric-a-brac of tribal percussion and hip-hop like swing, or "D Conference", with its unmistakably Detroit-infused sample snippets, or even fast-paced drum shuffles of "Tusk Dance" really represent what Mo Kolours is all about: beautifully arranged drum programming with almost human-like unpredictability swaying those beats and melodies from side to side.
