Can You (Lockah Remix) - (5:31)
from $1.49
Review: Deftly exploring the creative possibilities in the endless badlands of a post-dubstep landscape, Krueger references everything from juke to techno across his two originals. "Giggles" is a paranoid, minimal masterpiece that refuses to be pigeonholed, while "Can You" is basically acid house if it arrived twenty-five years later. Complex yet stark and simplistic both are the epitome of electronic music's earliest, most essential ingredients. And the remixes are all pretty special, too...

Review: Young Philly producer Krueger channels the sounds of London on this new EP for Paradisiaca. Title tune "40oz Bounce" channels Pearson Sound and Girl Unit in particular, whilst still sounding hugely unique, while the excellent bass-thumper "This Is Sick" mixes reverbed textures with a thumping minimal kick. On a mean, post-dubstep tip, "Talk" is an equally essential 130bpm mindf*ck loaded with plenty of hip-hop swagger.

Review: Raw jams galore on this sex track compilation from Paradisiaca Recordings. DJ Hoodcore opens proceedings with the stripped back bounce of "Phyre" (which also gets remixed by Mike G to impressive effect), before DJ's Eskilate's "Ice" drops with bleepy, 8-bit textures and melodies plundered right out of an Atari. Also be sure to check "If You Sex C" by DJ Doomdark's Revenge - part trance anthem, part screwed R&B, part garage roller, all fire - and the even better "AAMG Anthem" by DJ AK-4luv, DJ Tee Whizz and DJ Reek Rawz.

Makeup 2 Breakup (Deebs remix) - (5:52) 136 BPM
from $1.49
Review: Hailing from Australia, Bosstone's music mines the same fertile ground as Night Slugs' London take on Baltimore house and Croydon dubstep. Opening track "Lean" utilises a sparse arrangement, concentrating on rapid 808 kicks and whipcrack ghettotech snares to accent its brooding atmosphere. "Beaucoup" is a bit like Addison Groove under the influence of codeine, with juke inspired rhythms at a more manageable pace. "Makeup To Breakup" meanwhile recalls a Jacques Greene style take on futuristic R&B, albeit one more restrained with its melodies. Remix support comes from DJ Sliink, who transforms "Lean" with some popping synths and dooms laden sirens, Samename, who delivers a tight house reflex of "Beaucoup", and "Deebs", whose fractured hip-hop reworking "Makeup 2 Breakup" turns the original into a technicolour marvel.

Review: Canadian producer, Miguel Moquin aka Titan Trakz, is currently celebrating 15 years in the game, and he's doing it in fine style. "Won't Be Going Home" tonight is a drunk-on-Cristal playa's anthem featuring lazy Southern hip-hop beats, big trancey synth pads and an insanely catchy vocodered chorus. With club and radio friendly production skills such as his, its unlikely Moquin will be going home tonight, or any night, anytime soon.
