Review: Best known as part of the uproarious live electronic act Chrome Hoof, Milo Smee is heralding the start of a new pseudonym, a new label and new musical direction with this release. Born out of a period of time he spent alone with a 303 and an 808, as you might expect the vibe is raw and acidic. "Corrosion Control" gets some incredibly nasty sounds out of one looping phrase in true strung-out, slowly tweaking form over a bleakly treated house rhythm. "Advanced Fuel" meanwhile snaps on a crisp electro beat, while the 303 still leads the way in the synth department. Nothing short of brilliant.

Review: After the rough and ready charms of his first appearance on Power Vacuum, Bintus is back with another slice of grotty electronics for those who like it especially nasty. The excellently titled "Drink Ye From The Acid Chalice" deals in a particularly runny form of 303-style bass funk that comes coated in grease, doing nothing more than modulating and mutating for five and a half minutes of cool and deadly box jam. As with the last EP the flip is handed over to a more electro flavour, hopping through various pharses and moments in a rather scatty manner but all locked to a warm and tonal kick drum and displaying a greater prowess in the studio processing side of production.

Review: Electro junkie EDMX releases his first EP for the new Power Vacuum imprint - the labels second release. "Orange Squash" provides the most obvious reference to his DMX Krew guise, with its squelching acidics, ascending and descending gurgles and ghetto-electro beats. Had Missy Elliot spat cheeky rhymes over "I'm Rushing My Tits Off" it's possible the track would topple US top 40 charts - leaving a cussing and confused Timbaaland scratching his head in disbelief. If you are aware of Dutch gabba sensation Angerfist, you'll know what to expect from "Cerberus". Rigid and explosive beats march like anarchic robots down the Champs-Elysees before bone crunching snares are introduced by a cleverly drummed glock 'n' load change up. Further gun-drummed sound effects are sprinkled throughout the mix in what is a perfect tester for the gabba-curious.
