Review: As the pixalated, 16-bit cover graphics suggest, this split EP of floor-focused edits and reworks has a strong 80s feel. Hi Score 900 - another clue - opens with the bumpin', old skool electro of Munga's "In The Mix", a kind of Ryuchi Sakamoto-goes-hip-hop concoction with added percussion. Cyclist delivers two barnstorming bangers; the low-slung boogie of "On The Floor" and the relentless disco-funk hustle of "Body Beat". The latter, in particular, is sweatier than a sumo's jockstrap. Occasional breakbeat type Jayl Funk completes the package with "All Night Long", a bouncy and breezy dollop of 80s jazz-funk boogie badness.

Review: Released by Punchout, a sister label of US imprint Homebreakin', these four new hip-hop/breaks tracks are perfect party starters - from the Guru-sampling "Movin On" by Neon Steve, to the Junkyard Band remix "Soul Foodie" by Bobby C. Punchy, party-rocking excellence.
