Review:
Bocca Grande is a musical collaboration between Tokyo artists Kousuke Ishida and Yuka Kobayashi. Ishida has a long history with electronic music, producing since the age of 16, while Kobayashi is a classically trained pianist. As you would expect, this collaboration, previously explored on the Cray And Pinky single in 2008 bears some rich fruit, flitting between the bumping house of opener "Abend" to the downtempo hip-hop of "Below My Hands" and dusky slo-mo grooves of "Even If". It's undoubtedly Kobayashi's piano playing that steals the show however, with his upwardly spiraling melodies on "Slow Gravity", improvisational keywork on "Room In A Clutter" and jazzy tones of closer "As Adele" all contributing to what is a one-of-a-kind album.

Review:
The last Daze Deten release on Rebirth dropped way back in 2009. This, then, makrs a belated return to the fold. As comebacks go, it's not half bad, offering a variety of deep house tracks dripping with organic instrumentation. "Wildhorse", for example, somehow manages to fuse relentless acoustic guitars and dubwise effects with a heady house groove, while opener "All Right" is as fluid and hypnotic a deep house cut as you're likely to find. "Cosmic Lips", on the other hand, sounds like a Balearic-influenced fusion of nu-disco and melodic deepness with a dash of jazz-funk, while closer "Technology A" is acid house for the cosmic disco generation.
