Review:
There was a time when John Dahlback was famous for the sort of chunky, stripped-back tech-house that appealed just as much to deep house heads and techno types. "Take This Thing Back" is a little different. Sitting somewhere between the balls-out madness of Digitalism and the ragged electro-house previously championed by Herve, Sinden and company, it's a breathlessly sweaty concoction. There's something of a surprise bonus in the shape of a remix by Stuart Price under his Jacques Lu Cont moniker. Recalling his brilliant early work on Wall Of Sound (think his cover of "Disco To Disco"), his remix fuses classic electro, robust disco-punk and mentalist acid.

Monstrously massive main room action here from Canadians Rich and Hirshee with added vocals from the other side of the globe courtesy of Aussie Amba Shepherd. Opening softly with a neat, spine-tingling arpeggio before dropping into some slinky bass action, Amba's prominent vocals develop with the elements building into an epic crescendo. With a chorus that will have you singing out loud for days on end, a super-euphoric build up and a sizzling bass riff in the pay off, this is guaranteed to cause major merriment on all the biggest floors. But then what did you expect from Chris Lake's Rising imprint? Essential

Review:
A tropical funky house storm from maestro Marco Lys, whose "Mombasa" comes in three different but hugely pleasing versions. Lys' original mix is probably the most direct - keeping the beats funky but minimal as he brings up strains of African singing through delays and filters to build into some huge drops. The Siwell mix is deeper and more strung out, while Sam Paginini's mix, exclusive to Juno, is a deep house diamond with some epic and glacial white-noise builds. Miss these at your peril!

This has been getting some serious rotation across the White Isle for a few weeks now, and if you have happened to be partying on the Amnesia terrace, or watching the Mambo sunset, you will have no doubt heard and loved it. Chris Lake continues to show his A&R expertise with this wicked progressive track from Mario Larrea, featuring an instantly catchy and inspiring vocal from Jenifer Levy. Lake takes the infectious vocal and killer chords one step further, with a super fresh tech house edge that will keep them going all night long.

Review:
Combining some deep-throated vocals, classic piano lines and a touch of the Perculator, Nelski's "Body Pop" is a bouncy house treat which will prove a fresh and funky summer essential. Rekids chief Radio Slave extends the breakdowns nicely on his mix while Jesse Rose also stretches things out on his mix, giving a techy sheen to the beats while still keeping them funky as hell. Nelski's own remix gives it some extra heat for the dancefloor, but the original will work just as well in any dancing-related situation - guaranteed!

Review:
Swapping over from his own Big Love label to Chris Lake's Rising Music, Seamus Haji teams up with Netsky for this all-out assault on The Chemical Brothers' classic. A straight cover, with everything from synths and vocals replayed, the pair strip things down a little and add claps on the kicks and snares for more drive. But the real glory is in the bassline-electro sounds the pair lace the track with on this worthy revisit of a true anthem.
