Review:
The Rode Blimp is a complete windshield and shock mounting accessory for the NTG1, NTG2 and NTG3 microphones, as well as any third party shotgun microphone up to 325mm in length. Its adjustable dual-hoop suspension design greatly reduces handling noise, while the acoustically transparent dome provides protection against wind noise. In addition to Rode shotguns, the Blimp also accommodates most shotgun microphones up to 325mm (12 ¾") in length.
The Blimp attaches to any standard boompole via 3/8" thread attachment at the base. The Universal Blimp Mount is available as an option to remove the handle when the Blimp is being used primarily on a boompole to reduce weight. The Dead Wombat windshield, caring brush and tail/patch cable are included. The added confidence of a full ten year warranty ensures that the Blimp is by far the best microphone windshield system available, further evidenced by a 2009 Red Dot Award and Australian International Design Award for outstanding product design. *Excludes normal wear and tear of Dead Wombat furry cover or any misuse, modification or improper storage and transportation of the product. Precision large diaphragm condenser microphone ideal for broadcast voice applications
Review:
The Rode Broadcaster is a large diaphragm, end address condenser microphone designed for broadcast voice applications. Its response has been tailored to give a rich, full, broadcast quality with an emphasised proximity effect, making it an ideal 'on air' radio microphone, equally fitting for voice over applications for film and television.
The Broadcaster features an internal pop filter, designed to minimise plosive sounds that can overload the microphone capsule and distort the audio output. In addition to its native 20Hz - 20kHz response, a selectable high-pass filter at 75Hz is available, which will prevent low end noise such as air conditioners and traffic from being recorded. The Broadcaster features an innovative 'On-Air' indicator on the body that can be wired for external activation by the 'Channel On/Mute' function on many mix consoles. If not connected to a console or switch, the indicator will remain lit whenever the microphone has power. For more information please see the user manual. Review:
The Rode NT6 compact microphone is specifically designed for difficult mounting applications where the highest quality audio is required. Although clearly relevant to instrument miking, the NT6 is extremely well suited to any situation where an unobtrusive but powerful microphone is required.
Featuring a 1/2" cardioid condenser capsule, the NT6 capsule head measures 45mm (1.8") in length and weighs only 42gm (1.5oz). An all-metal, multi-position mounting ring provides 180 degree of vertical rotation, while the microphone head is connected to the body via a custom 3m (10') shielded Kevlarr reinforced cable. The microphone body incorporates both a high-pass filter and pad setting. The high-pass filter can be introduced to cut vibration, rumble and undesired sounds sources under 80Hz, while the pad offers a -10 dB level attenuation, useful when recording louder sound sources. The NT6's small form factor make it an ideal small diaphragm cardioid microphone for use in the mid-side (M/S) stereo array, in combination with a figure-8 large diaphragm microphone such as the NT2-A, NT2000 or K2. Condenser microphone for video camera
Review:
Building on the success of the VideoMic Pro, which quickly became the defacto standard for DSLR on-camera audio, and Rode's original Stereo VideoMic, the new Stereo VideoMic Pro provides a high quality stereo option for videographers, and is ideal for recording music, and the atmospheric ambience essential in building a realistic audio scene.
Based around a matched pair of high sensitivity 1/2" cardioid condenser capsules in a coincident XY pair, the Stereo VideoMic Pro provides a wide stereo image with natural depth. The Stereo VideoMic Pro builds on the feature set of the VideoMic Pro, with an ergonomic form factor perfectly suited to DSLR, consumer camcorders and large-sensor video cameras. The integrated shock mounting system provides superior isolation from vibration and mechanical noise that can otherwise degrade the recording quality. Additionally the lightweight yet robust multi-strand cable provides excellent acoustic decoupling from the camera and offers significantly lower noise transference than traditional audio cable. The user friendly designed rear of the microphone body features the power and equalisation controls, including a high pass filter at 75Hz which is designed to cut out the noise generated by air conditioning, traffic and other undesirable low frequency interference. A -10 dB PAD allows the user to reduce the sensitivity of the microphone, making it suitable for recording loud sound sources such as live music or at sporting events. Like the VideoMic Pro, the Stereo VideoMic Pro features a +20 dB level boost specifically designed to provide a higher quality signal with DSLR cameras. When activated, the typically low quality camera preamp level can be reduced, resulting in a lower noise floor and much clearer recording. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cRmHjeic0O8

25 Mar 13 Broadcast-quality stereo condenser microphone for mounting on camcorders, DSLR cameras and portable audio recorders
Review:
The Rode Stereo VideoMic is a broadcast quality stereo microphone designed for use with camcorders, DSLR cameras and portable audio recorders. Two high resolution 1/2" condenser capsules are mounted in a fixed X/Y stereo array, providing a very natural stereo recording, while still offering a high level of rear rejection. The Stereo VideoMic is an ideal microphone for capturing environmental and ambient sounds, as well as live music. For dialogue and directional applications the Rode VideoMic and VideoMic Pro are recommended.
An in-built shock mounting system isolates the Stereo VideoMic capsule and electronics from its mount, providing isolation from external physical factors that may cause unwanted rumble and vibrations in the microphone. Its standard sized shoe mount also includes a 3/8" thread in the base for easy mounting on a boom pole or stand. (Note that cameras with proprietary sized mounts may require an additional adaptor). In addition to the microphone's native 40Hz-20kHz response, a selectable high-pass filter at 80Hz is available, which will prevent low end noise such as air conditioners and traffic from being recorded. A -10dB level attenuation (or Pad), selectable from the rear face of the microphone, allows recording of loud sound sources, such as live music or motorsport. The Stereo VideoMic is ideal for use with DSLR cameras such as the Canon 5DMkII, Canon 7D, Canon 1D, Canon 550D/T2i, Canon 60D, Nikon D7000, Nikon D5100, Panasonic GH1 and Panasonic GH2. 01 Jul 13 A professional grade 1/2" condenser shotgun microphone + non-elasticated suspension
Review:
The VideoMic with Rycote Lyre Suspension System from Rode is a shotgun microphone that can easily be mounted on a DSLR camera. It features a Rycote suspension system that attaches to the camera's shoe. The VideoMic is lightweight, and when mounting on a camera it does not appear in the frame. The VideoMic can also mount to Rode's boompoles for elevated audio capture. Its super-cardioid polar pattern attenuates sounds from the sides. The result is a signal that sounds closer to the camera, even when shooting in noisy environments or at moderate distances.
The included Rycote Lyre is a non-elasticated suspension structure composed of a hard-wearing thermoplastic. It is more effective at acoustically decoupling microphones from unwanted vibrations, handling and cable-borne noise than elasticated suspensions. The lyre remains effective at a wide range of temperatures and is virtually indestructible. It will never wear out, sag, snap or require any rethreading to maintain its effectiveness. Manufactured from rugged and durable ABS, the microphone is designed to withstand being tossed in a camera bag while remaining lightweight and extremely portable. In addition to the microphone's native 40Hz-20kHz response a selectable high-pass filter at 80Hz is available, which will prevent low end noise such as air conditioners and traffic from being recorded. A -10dB and -20dB level attenuation (or PAD), selectable from inside the battery compartment, allows recording of loud sound sources, such as live music or motorsport. The Rode VideoMic directional on-camera microphone is covered by Rode Microphones' industry leading 10 year warranty.
