Review: Italian producer Aquadrop has impressed with his releases in the past and now steps up with his next release, the gloriously entitled "Synthesized Landscapes From Future" on the Seclusiasis imprint. An introductory "Welcome" skit lures us in to Aquadrop's world, where the "Eagle Nebula" kicks off with its quirky synths and ADHD-riddled bleeps. "Mare Tranquillitatis" is another synth-drenched number reminiscent of Rustie and Joker at times, while "Back & Forth" does just what it says on the tin with a playful abandon. Then "See Ya" brings things to an end with quirky patterns and hasty bleeps and blips.

Review: After a strong 2011, Distal comes back with a new EP on Seclusiasis, proving his worth as an ambiguous producer comfortable with deploying those 'chainsaw' synth moments for dramatic effect but not relying on them for his sole method of expression. "Eel" shudders with an electro militancy, slamming the beats down hard but never reverting to obvious rave signifiers. "Kurgan" is more sly in its approach, creeping to life on a half-time beat and sounding positively restrained before the buzz saw screech goes off, only to duel with dub techno chords further in. Convoluted it may sound, but he nails his stylistic straddling perfectly.

Review: Dropping on Starkey's Seclusiasis imprint last year, Kastle's "Time Traveler" was a confident combination of spectral yet hard hitting 2-step garage rhythms and dubstep bass combined with UK Funky inspired piano stabs and neon chords. Now it finds itself being remixed by the legendary Todd Edwards, who reworks the track into an upbeat US garage number, consisting of a shackling pattern of hi-hats and a rapid bassline ascent that somehow finds the space to sit comfortably between expertly clipped vocal samples. We don't have to tell you that pretty much everything Edwards touches turns to gold, but this is something special indeed.

Review: The Philly imprint Seclusiasis overseen by Starkey and Dev79 seems like a perfect home to unveil the latest sounds of Pittsburgh based producer Kastle. Across six tracks Time Traveller exposes your senses to the full spectrum of Kastle's sound, splaying twilight 2-step sounds on the title track with upwards glancing, fully flexing future boogie - the vocoder heavy "Better Off Alone" and the purple vibes of "Walking Away" which features Metalheadz MC Armaani Reign. Grimes vibes run through the scatter punch riddims of "Bring Me Back", whilst "I Know" sprinkles pitch shifted vocals over a Timbaland meets Roska beat pattern which constantly twists with energetic glee. Review: What happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas... Unless you're a Vegas-based producer with serious skills, like King - then it's only appropriate to spread the word as far and wide as possible. Taking grime sensibilities, mixing them with a dash of US ghetto-bass spirit and delivering them through a Brainfeeder loudhailer, King's carved a very distinctive niche over the years, summarising it neatly on this razor-sharp debut LP. From brutally barbed bashment ("Riots") to mournful, naval-gazing classic electro homages ("Getn Up") via uncompromising trappist naughtiness ("Off The Wall") Koncepts is a very well considered and arranged album that works on floors and feelings alike.

Review: Stamina's the key word here, as Brighton's Manni Dee likes it fast and sweaty. "Jungle Jook" is well, Jungle Juke: beats going at it with mach 3 speeds while gentle synth pads float about on top.
