We are big fans of the Silk Royal label, one of the best at unearthing the hottest talent from across the globe. With this latest lifted from Volume 2 in their 'Showcase' compilation series, it's the perfect reflection of what the label is about. The original is blissfully captivating progressive with a plethora of stunning melodies and atmospherics and fast rising Japanese talent Shingo Nakamura takes the beauty even further, he is most certainly one to watch over the coming year.. Check it out!!

Barcelona's Aerosoul have come onto the scene with a bang over the past few months and now they really come into their own with a track we think will be their big turning point. 'Time Is By Your Side' featuring the great vocal from John Ward is a progressive treat that carries lots of emotion, soulfulness, and energy at the same time. Silk Royal is a great home for this, with a track record of breaking new talent. We are loving the Nigel Good remix which goes much cooler and fittingly progressive on the original, and there's no doubt all the big guns are sure to jump on and for us wont be leaving the set lists for many months. A real thing of beauty, which deserves to be embraced.

We have been constantly impressed by the quality of output on the Silk Royal label over the past 12 months, unearthing and developing such talents as Shingo Nakamura, and now this from Dan & Sam (what they lack in artist name originality they make up for in music). 'Walls'
instantly captivates and brings you in, wrapping you in cotton wall with the soft pads and stunning lead melody. The hooky vocal sit sweetly above the production and add further to the uplifting nature. Head for the Shawn Mitiska remix which carries a little bit more of a punch, whilst keeping the winning Maxx Hennard centre stage. An essential progger not to be missed!

Silk Royal have had a solid run of late, both on the compilation and singles front. The key factor in this success is their consistent ability to discover and showcase exciting new talent, and the man behind all that Jacob Henry steps into the driving seat for 'Hopeful Romantic. Having recently mixed and compiled 'Royal Showcase 2' along with Tom Fall, he is prooving himself to be one to watch. The original here is a stunning progressive moment with a rolling groove and some wonderful melody lines and piano rolls with clever vocals flickered throughout. Johan Vilborg turns in a dynamic mix with extra energy and thump, while in contrast Schodt heads down a chilled out experimental breaks route completing ell rounded package!

DJing, production, and lets face it.. dance music in general has always been about excitement and inspiration. Back in the 'good ol days' this was mostly built from DJ mixes, with the likes of Carl Cox and Paul Oakenfold paving the way. In recent times it seems these showcases of new unearthed music seem to have taken a back seat, with cherry picking becoming the norm. Silk Royal label boss Jacob Henry and the hotly tipped Tom Fall break the mold for the second volume from their label featuring the likes of Shingo Nakamura, Matt Lange, Soundprank, and Sundriver and journeying from melancholic prog right through to spine tingling uplifting. Whether in the car, on the ipod, at an after-party, or to simply to catch up to what's going to be hot.. This is a real treat!

Over the past few years, radio shows have become more and more important for new music and artists to reach a global audience. Pioneered by the likes of Armin, and Above & Beyond there is now an abundance of great shows. One such weekly showcase of quality fresh music is Silk Royal, presented by Jacob Henry and Tom Fall, with the label of the same name also impressing with each and every release. The third edition of their 'Showcase' mix compilation is just under three hours of trance and prog featuring the likes of; Shingo Nakamura, Ad Brown, Dinka, PROFF, Aerosoul, and countless others. A great way to discover some golden gems which you may overlook otherwise.

With an ever growing list of supporters such as; Above & Beyond, Paul van Dyk, Markus Schulz, Roger Shah and Mike Shiver, exciting new talent Johan Vilborg is clearly making all the right moves. 'Altara' is the perfect introduction to his progressive yet uplifting style that will sound just as big in the main room of Amnesia as it will on the Space terrace. With plenty of elements to pigeon hole these three tracks in 'trouse', we would rather pen them as cross genre sticks of dance-floor dynamite, be sure to check out 'Leaving Home' as well!!

Hailing from, what has become the homeland of electronic music worldwide (following the likes of Avicii, and the Mafia), latest Swedish progressive sensation Johan Vilborg returns to the onpoint Silk Royal for his sophomore EP 'Warmer Days'. His debut 'Altara', was one of the labels most noteworthy releases to date and with support from tyDi, Solarstone, and Jaytech, this sundrenched affair is sure to follow suit. As well as a solid alterative mix from Eric Shaw, another track 'Seashells' lifts the energy levels with dancing arps and layered lead synths. A name to watch out for over the coming year.

With the smell of spring in the air and the talk and anticipation building for the summers festival and Ibiza seasons, the on form Silk Royal label have been putting out some great records to get us even more excited. Here we have what is sure to be a summer smash from Helsinki's Our Stolen Theory, with it's captivating and memorable male vocal and the most uplifting of melodies. The lead remix comes from Mike Shiver & Johan Vilborg who beef it up direct for the floors. We are also feeling the proggier, and infectiously warming cut from Nigel Good which brings even more sunshine to any day and will work across the board from house to trance. Yet another fine release from Silk Royal, now where is the sun and BBQ at?

A very promising release from upcoming Japanese talent Singo Nakamura.. The youngster is said to be heavily influenced by Anjunadeep which you can definitely tell from 'Sapporo' a track named after his hometown on the island of Hokkaido. Super smooth progressive vibes as glistening as the famous cherry blossom. Silk Royal, rope in remixes from Claes Rosen and Sunn Jellie who both work the original melodies with distant pads and atmospherics. With productions like this we have no doubt Shingo will be on the Anjunadeep label very soon!
