Review: The wonderfully named Slime Recordings reach their 21st release with this atmospheric four tracker from En Neem. Introing with "Over" we are served up an ethereal treat as warm pads play off against a haunting vocal and skittering drums. Second track "Waiting" has a more upbeat feel with 2 step beats and rumbling bass reminiscent of the dark dubstep of early Tempa. "Heat & Lies" has an air of intricate ambience about it before EP closer "Me & My Girls" switches the mood using vocal snippets playing off against the rhythm track. Intriguing stuff.

Review: Marking his debut on Slime Records, Spanish garage/dubstep producer Kontigo really throws out some soul-nourishing beats on this five-track release. For the floor, "Here I Come" won't fail to shake asses whilst also whisking your mind into a giddy, soft-synthed whirlwind, and "Losing You" is another beautiful soulful, disco-garage stomper. "Stars Fall" and "Believe" are just as luscious, with deep atmospheric textures dominating the former, and half-steppin' beats and elastic basslines the latter. L2S' Submerse brings out the beats on a superb, hyped-mix of "Stars Fall" that rounds off this mightily impressive debut.

Review: New on Slime Recordings, Birmingham bass and UKG-head Laney steps up with two very fine modern steppers. "Let It So" builds itself around some very trigger-happy snares and half-time claps while echo-pella shots cut through over some minimal subs. On the (digital) flip, "Old George" comes in on a tougher agenda thanks to some heavy kicks and hand drum interplay, while the topline melodies are given a woozy and delirious feel.

Review: Slime Recordings continue to generate heat in the form of this debut EP from 20 year old producer Made, showcasing futuristic sounds in the vein of Hudson Mohawke and his contemporaries, taking in the influence of garage, R&B and grime along the way. "Like Us" is a neon slice of melodic future R&B, skilfully weaving a sultry vocal around a dubstep bassline and garage rhythms, while "That I Need" has a slightly more relaxed vibe, utilising hypercoloured melodies while a rolling breakbeat propels the track forward. "You're Sorry" takes on more of a Burial vibe, with a more atmospheric mood complete with sweeping strings, while closer "Fantasy" offers one of the standout moments, utilising a classic 2-step beat over a reverb laden soundscape.

Review: Always a haven for upcoming breaks/electro/D&B talent, Slime's latest signing is UK producer Powder Hill, who impresses hugely with three deep, atmospheric and ambient beats on this debut release. "Aenda" is beautifully strung out as progressive house textures get layered over 125bpm breaks, while the slow and jazzy "Wisp" is a more smokey and downtempo dreamer. Review: After hugely enjoying releases such as "Hold It Down" and "Get Away", we're pleased that Submerse and Resketch have treated us to another killer set of tunes in the form of the Distance EP. The dreamy beauty of the title track is pepped up by dynamic beats that flit between jacking 4/4 kicks and tricksy 2-step shuffles, while the ambiguity of Submerse's "Never Again" is simply stunning - with the soft, echoey textures letting the crisp future-garage beats shine through. Resketch's "Freefall" and "Tides of Change" are more upbeat and lively (check out the vibraphone wig-out on the latter tune) whilst still retaining a deep ambient feel.
