Review: Sub Soldiers owner and dubstep pioneer Caspa comes up with another highly anticipated, souped up cut on the genre-defining imprint. Bass heavy business prevails from the off, as an accelerating intro leads into an almighty drop with gritty, drill like low-end factor and echoing tribal punches. Screaming synth work and plentiful sub bass compliments the dark, dubbed out soundscape, making for an essential release for 140bpm aficionados new and old. Expect to hear a lot of this one on the dancefloor in the coming months.

Review: Flipping the proverbial script, Caspa, once named villain of the "brostep" scene pokes fun at the chart success of unnamed individuals in the contemporary scene with his tongue-in-cheek Not For The Playlist EP. Taking it back to its aggressive Croydon roots a la N Type and Hatcha in "Sir Rock A Lot" he blends raw bassline pressure with aggressive stabbing drums and transposes this to "Champion Skank". He becomes more frank with statement piece "It Is What It Is" before finishing up with the fun, bleepy "Hot Shoe Shuffle" with its military rhythms and dancefloor rumble.
