Review:
Sub Soldiers owner and dubstep pioneer Caspa comes up with another highly anticipated, souped up cut on the genre-defining imprint. Bass heavy business prevails from the off, as an accelerating intro leads into an almighty drop with gritty, drill like low-end factor and echoing tribal punches. Screaming synth work and plentiful sub bass compliments the dark, dubbed out soundscape, making for an essential release for 140bpm aficionados new and old. Expect to hear a lot of this one on the dancefloor in the coming months.

Review:
Flipping the proverbial script, Caspa, once named villain of the "brostep" scene pokes fun at the chart success of unnamed individuals in the contemporary scene with his tongue-in-cheek Not For The Playlist EP. Taking it back to its aggressive Croydon roots a la N Type and Hatcha in "Sir Rock A Lot" he blends raw bassline pressure with aggressive stabbing drums and transposes this to "Champion Skank". He becomes more frank with statement piece "It Is What It Is" before finishing up with the fun, bleepy "Hot Shoe Shuffle" with its military rhythms and dancefloor rumble.

Review:
Caspa, the dopest ghost in town, makes a return to his own Sub Soldiers imprint with the consciously tongue-in-cheek Sell Out EP. As well as making a political statement to his peers, Caspa also brings us some pretty good tunes here. First off we have "You Sell Out" with its smashing snares, booming foghorn bass and computerized "4...3...2...1" countdown into the drop with its drill-like synths, which are almost unbearable. Up next is "Jungle Juice" with hollow, metallic tapping, burbling horror movie style vocal in the distance and cheeky, quirky pattern of sounds, which make up the tune. "Room 324" brings the EP to a close with shimmying SFX, purposeful beats, spaced out atmospherics and an air of catharsis about it.

Review:
Caspa and Subscape's angular angry classic from 2010 gets a surprise re-lick from US bass upstart Notixx. Sanding down the spikes and softening the hooks, he's taken a massive mosh-firing banger and given it a new added depth that Caspa and Subscape first hinted at with the icy synth intro. Don't go thinking he's softened it too much though - this is still bangs, but in a sexier, sleazier way.
