Review:
One of minimal house music's mavericks delivers a sexy, assured release for Marc Romboy's label. The club edit is the most DJ friendly version on offer here, with doubled up drums and grinding riffs providing the focus as Jones's ghostly vocals loom in the background. The Lopazz & Casio Casino take follows a relatively similar approach, with the vocal sounding muffled at times and on other occasions more soulful and contemplative. But it's the Kruse & Nurnberg version which stands out the most. This is thanks to the rolling, filtered groove, but also due to the fact that this version gives Jones's soulful, sensual tones the necessary space to seduce the listener

Review:
Chelonis is very much the 'artiste'... A poet, a producer, a party starter, you never know what to expect from him, other than it being unique and delivered in his own style. The Prison Buffet takes off where 2009's Chatterton left us; whirling and wheezing in puddle of sleazy electro and soul. If anything, this bulges with even more surprise and panache than the previous as we shake and sass from vibe to vibe to vibe; the Drums Of Death style declarations on "23$ Life", the sombre Prince-like sobriety of "Car Crash In Reverse", the demented late night techno of "The Irritant (Brain Damage Club", the list goes on. Wonderfully unpredictable...

Review:
Marc Romboy's Systematic Recordings is given an anti-up with Barcelona-based Coyu for this latest instalment of the legendary tech series. "Flus Flus" introduces the EP in industrial style, bringing forth elaborative drone injections and bizarre machine infusions, but it's "Heatwaves" featuring Cevin Fisher which opens the beats and sees Coyu produce one hell of a floor monster, complete with some of the craziest percussion we've heard in a while from Systematic. "Fabula Fabulei" is more sinister, making use of twisted chord delays to paint the picture, but "Flus Flus" is a real stand-out, where deep tribal beats meet grainy FX-influxes and minimalistic bleeps.

Review:
Wherein Kaiserdisco gets to grips with music from some of house music's biggest names and emerge smiling. The take on Steve Lawler's "Distrait" is classic Kaiserdisco, with heavy bongo drums leading into shaking percussion and later on a dramatic, string-led breakdown. Meanwhile, the take on Dualton's "Face Off" is slightly more understated, with stripped back, minimal rhythms underpinning insistent vocal sampling and an infectious disco filter. But the killer remix here is the re-rub of Booka Shade and label owner Marc Romboy's "Every Day In My Life". Over tribal beats and a huge filter, an unnamed woman sings the catchy refrain "I got something for your mind, your body and your soul /every day of my life". It's the kind of vocal refrain that will seduce even the most hardened purist.
