It sounds like this duo is trying to bring an underground sensibility to commercial dance music. "Holiday" features crashing drums and a pulsing bass, while the combination of detuned rave riffs and druggy vocal samples will lend it a mainstream appeal. However, there is a musical element to the track and the sensuous strings are borrowed from the Detroit techno textbook. Drauf & Dran's remix also draws on techno motifs with uplifting chords and crashing snares fused with more commercial elements like the Sangria-fueled Spanish guitar playing. Meanwhile, on "Mitswinger" Arts & Leni let their underground side prevail, with a bleepy groove populated by string-soaked breakdowns.
