Trendy Mullet At Juno Download

Review: It's been over a decade since UK duo the Inland Knights first seduced house music lovers with their groovy sound. Some things, including their daft sense of humour - Trendy Mullet anyone? - haven't changed, but "Control" marks some changes to their sound. The beats are tighter and the bass more grinding, but the same niggling claps and off the wall vocal samples, including a waif and an effeminate man vying for the listener's attention, are also present. Ironically, Leif's rework, with is walking bass and warm disco filters, is more reminiscent of Inland Knights' sound of yore, while the Kamo version skips back a generation, featuring electro synths and vocodered vocals over chopped up beats.
