Review: From Turbo's new digital-only strand Twin Turbo comes this new release from Swedish maniac Zoo Brazil, who previously garnered praise from Crookers, Tony Senghorn and Punks Jump Up for his previous TT release, "The Kill". "New York" is killer electro-tech fire from right from the off, with a deeply twitchy set of dry fluttering snares bouncing over a minimal-on-steroids beat and some huge waves of analogue crunch-pads driving it along hard. "Game Face" by comparison is a little more sedate, but after a slow build it cements itself into a hypnotic synth-vocalled groove that has all the grandeur of the mighty Kraftwerk complete with a thick bass texture straight out of 2012.

Review: Andy Graham aka Sei A has put out a series of impressive releases for Tiga's Turbo - and "Flux" is no exception. It sounds like Graham has been listening closely to the work of crossover techno/bass artists like Martyn, Shed and Cosmin TRG, as the title track is a raucous mixture of dense off-beats, squealing riffs and soaring, billowing chords. "Jus Appreciate" follows a similar trajectory, and its rolling rhythms are littered with insane vocal samples, while "Break the Pattern" is mellower, with dubby drums underscoring breathy filters and trippy acid lines. Martyn completes the package with a slamming, lurching take on the title track. Highly recommended.

Review: Seriously incredible techno goodness from Scottish outfit Clouds who drop a grand new set of beats for Twin Turbo that have already had the tip o' the hat from Erol Alkan and (of course) Turbo boss Tiga. Keeping the balance between overblown bass channels and crisp, dry and hugely rumpshaking percussion, "Matter" is a huge highlight, as is the slightly more tropical handrum-fest that is "Articles", which also gets an enormous hypnagogic remake by Ado here too. With the minimal dubby acid of "Mr Pink" rounding off the release, this is simply essential Turbo fuel.

Review: Turbo Recordings' Twin Turbo imprint reaches its fifth release from the mysterious French outfit Donovans, the appropriately titled "Rise & Fall". With a searing synth line that teases with its varying degrees of intensity, it's the kind of track that tunnels its way directly into your brain, and is a perfect addition to Twin Turbo's focus on straight up electro house bangers. As Turbo themselves warn: "Don't play this for less than 500 people". Remix support comes from Munich based producer SCNTST, who reworks the big room original and creates something a little more understated, taking the bassline and morphing it into ever more complex structures across the track's six minute running time. As you'd expect from Turbo, they don't come much bigger than this.

Review: There is no question that Tiga has an ear for identifying hits - as his own version of "Sunglasses at Night" attests - and it sounds like he could have another anthem on his hands with Flower. However, there's a caveat; Sei A's approach is different to Tiga's and Flower is a beautifully fragile, downtempo affair, its spiky, gitchy percussion supporting a wonderfully wounded, muffled vocal. It sounds like Portishead getting it on with Pansonic with Monolake on mixing duties. "Starjar" is less immediate but its chiming bells and icy melodies make it almost as irresistible, while Midland provides some dance floor direction with his heavy, drum-led take on the title track.

Review: It's hard not to be cynical about attempts to revive the 303 sound, especially when the vast majority of such releases end up sounding like pale replicas of past glories. Thankfully, Gingy & Bordeloo's latest record sounds like something that was made in a Chicago basement 30 years ago as tortured 303 lines gurgle and squelch their way over rattling drums and a shuffling groove. KiNK has been one of the most successful contemporary interpreters of the acid sound and his "On Acid" remix has all the hallmarks of a hysterical Hardfloor-style wig out, as insane layers of tweaked 303s implode over one another. KiNK's second remix, "In Deep" is more languid by comparison with its liquid filters, but here too the bass is tearing and reaches an effective crescendo. The wiry bass and hissing hats of "Animo" completes this killer release.

Review: Having previously impressed with a handful of sporadic singles releases, Tiga and Florian Senfter finally unveil a full-length of ZZT material. Those who enjoyed previous much-played singles "Lower State Of Consciousness" and "The Worm" will be in their element, as much of Partys Over Earth explores similar hard-wired territory. In addition to the relentless machine rhythms and droning dancefloor workouts (of which the album includes many fine examples), the duo has wisely included a smattering of experimental pop and downtempo electro moments. As a general rule, these that really hit the mark, with the quirky vocal outing "Nickel Und Dime" standing out.

Review: Following releases over the years for Made To Play and Teki Latex's Sound Pellegrino imprint, Renaissance Man have refined their sound and found themselves headhunted by Tiga for their debut album release on Turbo Recordings. Beginning with the oddball house of "What Do You Do When You Do What You Do", the album continues along with its wildly experimental take on electro. "Stalker Humanoid" for instance offers a driving house beat in the vein of Claude Von Stroke, but with the sound of slightly off key plucked strings, while "Vancouver" takes various flute samples and puts them atop a funereal beat. "Natti Jussi" meanwhile is a slightly more serious but no less playful slice of jaunty Germanic sounding minimal house, while "Trance Central" offers another surprisingly deep mid-tempo house track with weird vocal flourishes. All things considered, it's a fascinating ride, and its infectious energy is bound to impress those looking for something more than the standard electro-house.

Review: ZZT (aka Tiga and Zombie Nation) have enlisted the talents of Instra:mental's Jon Convex and hard-to-pin-down producer Duke Dumont to remix the lead single from their forthcoming debut album. Entitled "Partys Over Los Angeles", the original is a typically hard hitting piece of warped electro from the duo, but Jon Convex's revision adds a futuristic sheen to the track, softening the sharper bass edges and adding some rhythmic swing. The Duke meanwhile whips the original's demented synth hook into even more frenzied territory!

Review: Finnish duo Renaissance Man prepare us for what should be a most intriguing debut album, prepped for release later this year on Tiga's all conquering Turbo imprint, with the delightfully tongue twisting "What Do You Do When You Do What You Do". Just as crafty as the title is the track, which wraps the titular refrain around all manner of slick live percussive touches, all balanced out by the chiming melodies. Armed with the Turbo cheque book, Renaissance Man enlist their favourite producers to tackle the track in the shape of Paul Woolford and Matthew Herbert. The latter is a wise choice given his own experimental leanings and his Little Liar remix sees Herbert add his own vocals along with a shuffling midnight house sensation. Woolford's effort retains the loose percussive lean, adding more swing amidst a jacking electro beat following a tough acid refix from Turbo's Glaswegian groover Sei A and a digital only tweak from Gingy & Bordello.

Review: Tiga's label brings together a diverse range of remixes of Swiss artist Crowdpleaser. At one end of the spectrum is Hreno & The Mole's version of "Jewel Self Dribbling Basketball", a trippy house groove, its psychedelic qualities augmented by a sample of a stoner talking about taking hits from an illicit substance. Daniel Maloso's take on "My Grandmother Could Tell You That" opts for a darker approach, with reverberating claps swept along by a malevolent acid line and a sinewy funk bass, while the St Plomb take on "Jonx" offers a more playful version of the 303-soaked house groove. Finally, Giorgio Gigli weighs in with a deep, hypnotic take on "DSG".

Review: Following Afrojack's "Pacha On Acid", Turbo offshoot label Twin Turbo drop two new tunes by Australia, an alias, the label coyly claim, for: "two top-shelf producers". We're open to suggestions as to who they may be, but we do know that we're definitely feeling both of these. "Sydney On Acid" is, as expected, full of brilliant 303 action, with a subtle drop into a slow-burning beat. "Chopper" is the standout though - full of aggressive vocal shots over some monster kicks and forceful bass sequences.

Review: Whilst Turbo have demonstrated a willingness to think outside the box in recent times (most notably a Murphy Jax release that featured Populette and Freak Seven remixes) this ZZT release will no doubt please fans of the label's trademark sound. "Vulkan Sound" is every bit as abrasive as you'd expect from Tiga and Florian, craftily building from a scratchy groove into the kind of ever twisting tunnel of white noise that sends the Friday night Fabric crowd crazy. Be sure to check the requisite remixes, with Turbo's resident Russian speaker worrier Proxy borrowing rhythmic ideas from an under appreciated Felix Da Housecat jam amidst the usual array of crescendo building synth madness. Joining him is BNR's Jan Driver, whose remix will please fans of tracks that begin in the lower recesses of the speakers and dig up all the dirt as they reach stereo parity in sync with massive 808 kicks and thumping bass, while UK techno don Perc turns in a driving, industrially tinged reimagination.

Review: Hot on the heels of Part 1, as well as the excellent Variations EP for Turbo, Gesaffelstein returns with these three devilishly dark technoid gems - each of which are 100 per cent essential. The slow, 115 bpm stomp of the Sebastian-gone-industrial opener "Viol" is a breath of fresh air, as is the similarly tempo'd "Opr", which positively throbs with an enormous elastic bassline, huge drums and a spooky, John Carpenter movie breakdown in the middle. Back up to house-tempo, "Conspiracy Origins" is a relentless builder from the start, as dark waves of menacing tech-pads are slowly brought up over a thick kick.

Review: French techno producer Terence Fixmer makes his second appearance on Turbo with this excellent new release, backed by some heavyweight mixes. A producer with a long pedigree of underground electro-tech, as well as his collaborations with Nitzer Ebb's vocalist Douglas McCarthy, he delivers a stroke of genius with the creeping builds of "The Night". Minus stalwart Marc Houle really builds on it though, incorporating a gently warping percussion lead over a bassline that threatens to spill out over the tune at any point. Two more Fixmer originals - the darkly feverish "Kiss Of Death" and the more cosmically-inclined "Deeper In The Night" make this a very worthy addition to Turbo's canon.

Review: Given his love for blurring the lines between vintage Chicago jack and original electro-pop, it was probably only a matter of time before Murphy Jax made an appearance on Tiga's Turbo label. That he's delivered his best release to date is, perhaps, more of a surprise. We Dance comes loaded with raw analogue funk, endorphin-releasing synth chords and dancefloor-baiting acid tweakery - all wrapped up in the German's trademark retro-futurist production. The title track itself is our pick - think dubbed-out 80s Chicago pop-house brilliance - but there's plenty more to get excited about, not least the foreboding electronic growl of "8Bit Epos" and three unashamedly heavy remixes. Next-level - and then some.

Review: If your looking for something a little different then this album is definitely for you. Its an LP that will sound as good in the car as it will at the afterparty. Canadian label Turbo have uncovered a eclectic band who keep things interesting and varied across a solid 11 tracks. Although definitely not one for the clubs, its sounds great through the headphones with real highlights being 'My Grandmother Can Tell You That' and 'Jonx'.. Be open minded and give this a good go.

Review: Florian Senfter aka Zombie Nation and Tiga's ZZT project gets the remix treatment with a diverse set of results. At the raucous, bleepy house end of the spectrum are the versions by Clouds and Sound of Stereo, with the latter's tweaky remix sounding restrained compared to the atonal madness of the former's reshape. It's not all noisy exuberance though; Gesaffelstein's remix seeks to plumb to Drexciyan depths with a bassline that sounds like it was inspired by the Detroit legends and the versions from Crowdpleaser and Plein Soleil do a fine approximation of raw, analogue house. However, it's Julio Bashmore who steals the plaudits here with a soaring bassline fused with intelligent techno style melodies for an unforgettably sublime outcome.

Trust Tiga to give a great soundbite for his label's four-part retrospective, part two of which drops this week. Covering 2005-2008, some stone cold electro and techno classics reside herein: Tomas Barfod's criminally underrated wonky-tech beauty "Saturdaya" and early tunes from Boys Noize (the untypically subdued "Haldern"), Proxy, Dim and Duke Dumont's Debbie Deb-sampling "When I Hear Mu'sic". With Justice's mighty take on ZZT's "Lower State of Consciousness" also here, this is a perfect collection for die-hards and casual Turbo listeners alike.

Review: A golden addition to the Turbo roster, Gesaffelstein's Variations EP drew enormous praise, as have his mixes of Cassius and Azari and III. Here he shines again over three tracks of joyous and supremely crafted techno. "Aufstand" is a revelation - full of tight plate reverb and huge chugging bass notes - while "Hatred" is a maximal beast that is wrapped around a snaky and cold 80s synth melody. "The Lack Of Hope" might just be the most gorgeous thing on here though - slow, warm and a real builder, it might not be perfect for the floor but it is very welcome for the head.

Review: A major talent that's been snapped up by Tiga's Turbo label after releases on Southern Fried and Blood Music, the long-awaited Numbers EP has finally dropped and it's a wonked-out techno gem with support from Boys Noize, Fake Blood, Proxy and Annie Mac. The Scottish duo recall Tiga's own ZZT version of "Lower State of Consciousness" on the title tune, while "Sucker" begins with a severely beat-mashed vocal before elegantly dropping into a fierce, dry techno kick replete with subtle yet outstanding bass sounds. "Fibre" is a stripped-down succession of killing acid rises, while "Been Warned" is horror-tech of the finest, edgiest kind.

Review: Villa Nah gets the remix treatment from fellow Finn Jori Hulkkonen on Tiga's label, and the results are among the finest deep house tracks of recent years. Like diamonds sparkling in a coal heap, both of Hulkkonen's takes on "All The Days" feature sensuous, sexy strings, rich dubby beats and just the faintest hint of an eerie undercurrent to the pristine house grooves. The Kebacid version doesn't stray as far from the script as Hulkkonen's remixes, and retain the duo's androgynous vocals- but there is something infinitely rewarding about hearing skinny white boys intone in faux angst ridden tones that 'it's keeping me up all night' as they are accompanied by squelchy 303 lines and evocative chords.
