Review: Matrix & Futurebound, co-owners of Viper Recordings, continue their output of feel-good, dancefloor D&B with catchy vocal hooks, more commonly associated with Hospital. This time, it's over to Genetic Bros for a tripartite release of soaring synths, enticing melodies and crunchy pelting drums. Opening track "Everyday Of My Life" is all shimmering atmospherics, swooning synths and vocal driven Netsky-esque liquid funk. "Apollo" is a slightly grittier cut, almost Sub Focus-like at times, with pounding drums, rocketing sparks and sci-fi SFX. Review: Man of the moment Metrik follows up his excellent The Departure EP with this five track release for Futurebound's Viper imprint. With his "T-1000" track smashing it across the globe and garnering plaudits from all and sundry, the time has truly come for him to showcase his considerable production talents. Displaying great versatility, he lays it on thick with the monstrous "Genesis", then flips the script on the dubstep monster "Between Worlds" while "I See You" is an uplifting anthem with the legendary Kathy Brown on vocals. Absolutely massive across the board.

"T-1000" is all about the epic, movie style intro, driving synth stabs, sped up, frenetic drum work and trance-like breakdowns, whilst "The Arrival", in contrast, is all hands in the air, piano chiming breeze with James Blunt voice double, Jan Burton. Review: Legendary Ram outfit Moving Fusion, who brought us classics like "Turbulence" back in the golden era of D&B in its late 90s heyday, are back with a three track EP on Futurebound's Viper Recordings. "Attention" pairs a soft, sonorous vocal with drone bassline, warping SFX and punchy drums, whilst "Mystery Stranger" commands attention with its quirky wailing, enormous builds, and gentle, rolling breaks. Review: Australian D&B-ster Shockone teams up with Phetsta for a raucous ride through the dancefloor. Taking a leaf out of the infamous Aussie super group's book, an uplifting Pendulum-esque vocal and euphoric trancey synthline builds into the main tune with a tumultuous drop. Review: Hot new talent Smooth sees another release on Futurebound's Viper Recordings. Jam-packed with soaring synths, pumping beats and dastardly dancefloor flavours, "Cosmos" kicks things off with a Sub Focus style intro before "Cyber Funk" picks things up with a more Cyantific-esque feel - think robotic SFX, metallic synths, industrial bass and an epic midway breakdown. Then there's the trance-infused dubstep lullaby of "Shifting Sands" with Shaz Sparks on vocal duties, the infectiously upbeat "Brighter Days" with its flurry of vocals, the epic, fuzzy feel-good of "Blinded By The Light" and the Camo & Krooked influenced belter "From Within". Part Two of "Shifting Sands" provides a fantastic finale to this superb EP.

Review: Latest Viper signing and Slovakian D&Bster Smooth blends disco tinged vocal work with pumping, euphoric summer time D&B, sizzling synths and a dash of electro to shake things up in title track "Feel So Free" in the style of early Camo & Krooked. Next up "Music Takes Me Higher" elevates things to the next level with punchy drum work and chopped up vocals for a high energy work out of epic proportions. "Micro", the final track of the EP, finishes things up with a driving b-line, synth flourishes, pelting breaks and a glorious breakdown, which highlights Smooth's dancefloor credentials once and for all.
