Review:
The 'turbo-funk' sound that's emerged from Italy in recent years was tailor-made for Lee Mortimer's label imprint... Jacking, funky and full of filth, it's got Wearhouse smeared all over it. "Epicity" shows the deeper side to turbo funk as it grunts with acid-spiked bass, but never truly growls out loud. Meanwhile on the remix tip, We Are Nuts! add a more subversive bass twist with all manner of wobbles and glitches. "Swingers" finishes the set on a high with a slamming, almost tech-ish groove that's not dissimilar to an old Bangalter disc. Jacking!
