Review: According to the accompanying PR blurb, this EP from Wiskey Pickle bossman Adam Warped is an "orchestral stupor through dark city streets". We agree - and there's certainly a nice dubbiness and post Nu-Balearic feel to lead cut "Broken". If you fused the piano-laden beauty of early Still Going with the slacker downtempo grooves of Windsurf or Hatchback, it would probably sound something like this. Occasional DFA type Walter Jones remixes, beefing up the beats for a decidedly deep cosmic disco/house crossover. The more rhythmically driven "Top Shelf" journeys successfully into the world of post-punk electro, while "Screwhead" bounces around impressively on a bed of punchy beats and rubbery electric bass.
