Review:
Long running Dutch imprint Work Hard Play Hard swiftly follow their first release of the year with this split EP delivering techno from the rowdier, more playfully peak time end of the spectrum. Jan Waterman's "Just Get It" could even be mistaken for latter day speed garage thanks to the heavy sub bass usage and ever present vocal loops, whilst crisp 808s and an undulating approach to rhythmic builds and prompts add the requisite energy. Alexey Kotlyar and Bilro & Barbosa for the much more straight down to business tribal thump of "Dirty Support" whilst the excellently named Christian Peak & Prude Polly drop industrial throbs with "Emotions".

Review:
Croatian producer and DJ Omega Drive is relatively new to the game, but he's already had support from Carl Cox, DJ Murphy and Pedro Delgardo amongst others. It's not hard to see why. His latest EP pulls no punches right from the start, with "Sister and Brother" launching off into a huge, unrelenting techno pulse from the outset. Clattering, tightly-looped drums dominate the sound, making it a vital jam to play when daylight approaches.
Oj Ej Hi Ho is another fast and furious belter, with some sinister vocals layered underneath the drums for maximum twisted effect. The breakdowns are equally huge, as the tune gets swept away briefly through layers of delay, before slowly reappearing under a cavalcade of stacked snare drums. With Kore and Bad Room rounding off the EP in an equally ferocious way, this should satisfy anyone with a penchant for the best Tribal Techno available.
