Review:
Autoreply Music's 14th release sees label boss OCH welcome two of Tokyo's most influential players to the family. As co-founder of the Pan Records label and collaborator with Mathias Kaden as Mathimidori, DJ PI-GE has been integral to the capital's current wave of house and techno, whilst his high standing as a DJ has seen bookings at respected European haunts Panorama Bar, Womb and Robert Johnson. His track "Down Map" features soft vocals, and catchy drifting synths which build and tease over an 8 minute backdrop of tight, club orientated percussion. op.disc regular DEN has an equally fruitful musical heritage having lived in London and Berlin and recorded for electronic institutions like Soma and Trapez. Returning to his homeland he's now established himself as one of the nations premium DJs. "Rushing For Love" is built around powerful drums and speaker shaking bass, perfect for the peak time with haunting piano creating a mood of euphoric tension and suspense. OCH's "Fika" embraces his early UK house and garage roots with warm vintage keys and lush female vox. "Doctors Orders" is a unique beatless weapon of spoken word and analogue synths completing the line-up of this very special EP.

Review:
Having previously appeared on Grizzly with the decidedly tough and breathless "Work That", Odysseus pops up on Jaymo and Andy George's Moda Black imprint with three tracks of sultry, late night house. "Hit It Again" kicks off proceedings by offering bold, grandiose electronic chords, cut-up vocal samples, garage-influenced drums and more drops than your average game of rugby in the middle of winter. The loose and languid "Over You" - all military drums, hypnotic stabs and spinetingling chords - offers a deeper alternative, while the brilliantly titled "Drug Fool" is six minutes of revivalist '90s Belgian techno disguised as 21st century rave. Which, in our book at least, is a very good thing.
