Video: The Knife

by Juno Plus on 09.03.2010 at 12:33pm

Inimitable Swedish act the Knife have released a video which explains their approach to the Opera project, Tomorrow, In A Year.

As always, it’s incredibly weird, but it doesn’t quite match the brilliance of Karin Dreijer Andersson’s acceptance speech at the recent P3 awards.

The opera project, a collaboration with Mt.Sims and Planningtorock, is adventurous even by The Knife’s standards, and follows on from a landmark year for the duo’s female singer Karin Dreijer Andersson, whose solo album under the Fever Ray moniker adorned many a “best of 2009″ list.

Tomorrow, In A Year is out now via Juno Records and Juno Download.

Meanwhile Karin has announced some more live Fever Ray dates, including a London show on September 8.

Fever Ray’s forthcoming live dates are as follows:

16 April – Coachella, Indio CA

8th Sep – O2 Academy Brixton, London

9th Sep – La Cigale, Paris

11-13 Sep – Bestival, Isle of Wight
