Boutique New Jersey disco imprint Italians Do It Better has launched an edit sub-label, which has hit the ground running with three 12″s released at once.
Perseo launched with little fanfare – actually, no fanfare whatsoever save for IDIB head honcho Mike Simonetti’s Twitter page – but the quality of the artists involved will ensure there is a clamour once word gets out.
The first three 12″s, which were released this week, come from Italian disco don Bottin, Martin Vogel and Simonetti himself. Our favourite thus far has to be Vogel’s slo-mo disco reworks of Bruce Springsteen classic “Tougher Than The Rest”. Dad Rock lives on.
