Brooklyn post-dubstep duo Sepalcure have taken some time off from lapping up plaudits for their new Fleur EP to release their remix of FaltyDL’s “St Marks” as a freebie.
The duo of Machinedrum (Travis Stewart) and Praveen (Praveen Sharma) came to our attention as Sepalcure with the 2010 release of the Love Pressure 12″, also pressed up on Scuba’s Hotflush label.
Juno Plus writer Belinda Rowse described Sepalcure’s style as a “blend of ambient soundscapes with lush melodies, hushed vocals and a deep, experimental sound that’s quite frankly, really rather wonderful”. Releasing a remix of FaltyDL aka Drew Lustman at this point in time is quite serendipitous, as the fellow New York producer is readying the release of his second album, entitled You Stand Uncertain.
The 12-track sophomore set is due for release in mid March on regular haunt Planet Mu, and we’re expecting big things.
