German MIDI controller manufacturer Faderfox and Switzerland’s Glanzmann Digital DJ Solutions have announced details of the muscular 4TrackTrigger controller specifically made for Traktor 2.5.
Undoubtedly one of the most awe-inspiring DJ controllers we’ve seen, the 4TrackTrigger seems purpose built for those who feel that computers and touchscreen technology is killing the art of tactile control. With a staggering 150 buttons, 17 encoders, 17 pots, 6 displays and 188 LEDs, the unit also has the capacity to control 4 virtual decks at once, with pedal connections to control every effect parameter on the fly, all contained with a Faderfox manufactured aluminium case as beefy as an Allen & Heath Xone 92.

This isn’t the first time Faderfox have created such a unit – the two year old Faderfox 4midiloop was their first all in one controller, but the design of this beast makes it look like it’s been cannibalised from the contents of a long-abandoned seaside video arcade. The unit will supposedly be highly limited, with an “ultra small production run”, and is expected to cost 1500€ (about £1174) plus VAT and shipping.
