You can listen to Kassem Mosse’s recent live performance in Toulouse, France, in all its crunchy, distorted glory.
Mosse – real name Gunnar Wendel – was performing at the French city’s Les Siestes Electroniques festival last month alongside the likes of Morphosis and Saad. The 30 minute set is at once grainy and confronting – the speaker cones sound like they’re about to explode at some points – yet inherently melodic, with the rendition of KMOS classic “578″ a particular highlight. Not unpleasantly, the Gallic chatter of the crowd and on-stage announcers that follows the show was also recorded.
