Eglo regular Arp 101 and Royalty’s Elliott Yorke have been in the studio together – now you can listen to the results.
Both artists have musical pedigrees that span years as well as styles; Arp 101 (real name Alix Depauw) is also well known for his drum and bass productions under the name Alix Perez, while Yorke currently forms one half of noirish electro funk duo Royalty, and has a background rooted in hip-hop.
“Fluro Back” is dripping with atmosphere as snarling samples and woozy, R&B synths that sounds like an epic early 90s rave anthem played at 33 and pitched down -8. The track, which you can listen to below, is slated for release on Brighton based Donky Pitch Records, home to the likes of Slugabed and Ghost Mutt.
