Oliver Ho’s The Eyes In The Heat project will continue their relationship with Ivan Smagghe’s Kill The DJ imprint with a debut album to be released on the label next month.
Matias Aguayo’s Cómeme imprint was perhaps the most consistent label for fun, exciting electronic music last year, delivering 12” after 12” of eclectic and esoteric house and techno from his cadre of fellow South Americans that caught the ear of respected DJs like Weatherall, Smagghe and Sweeney. That the label is currently in a period of fallow time is offset somewhat by the appearance of one of Cómeme’s lesser spotted talents on another release-shy label in Astro Lab.

Ivan Smagghe’s Kill The DJ imprint continue their endeavours to release the sleaziest forms of dance music with the news that Oliver Ho’s side project The Eyes In The Heat will release an EP on the label next month.
This week’s Beats In Space was a highlight for several reasons; Gallic gent Ivan Smagghe guested and revealed some intriguing forthcoming Kill The DJ material from Oliver Ho under his new The Eyes In The Heat alias and finished his mix with Twitch’s “Psylent Night” from the free Christmas 7″ we put out. Angular London based types Battant return with their second album next month, entitled As I Ride With My Horse, which once again sees It’s A Fine Line aka Ivan Smagghe and Tim Paris on production duties.
