Review:
Following releases for Tectonic and Fortified Audio, Atlanta-based beat scientist Distal pops up on Sinden's Grizzly label. "Boss Of The South" is the sort of full-throttle excursion you'd expect from Grizzly, all fidgety tropical beats, electro pulses and nagging hooks. More immediately pleasing is Sinden's remix, which offers up an extended deep garage groove and shuffling house touches. "Coke Bottle", Distal's second original track, contrasts UK funky and contemporary rave beats with decidedly blissful chords to impressive effect. There are two Wheezie remixes of "Coke Bottle", too, which aggressively charge off like Chicago Juke on speed.
