Review:
Dutch Rhythm Combo main man Felix Haaksman seems to have ants in his pants. Over the years, he's turned his hand to disco, calypso, Latin grooves and afrobeat. Here, his latest Latin-flavoured single, "Alerto" gets the nu-dusco treatment, with Ajello and Lumindisco providing the rubs. Ajello's Vocal version sits somewhere between comfy deep house and sparkly nu-disco, layering the Spanish vocal over a bubbling bed of spacey synths and a rock solid groove. There's also a sparser, straight-up deep house dub. Lumindisco, on the other hand, delivers two contrasting mixes; a pleasingly electronic Deeper Mix and a more disco-flavoured Happy Mix. Both are well worthy of plays.
