ELEVEN8 - Alone EP (Front Cover)
Review:
A fine balance of well measured menace and icy organic atmospherics; that's what Eleven8 is all about. Four tracks in total, each one a mesmerising lesson in depth and timbre. The title track harbours harrowing strings as it weeps mournfully on a halfstep. It's emotive but driven with enough percussion for the dance. More startling, though, is "Remember Me". Think dubstep but with a dash of Trentemoller and Pink Floyd. Cosmic, baby. The darker, more techno-flavoured "Cythe" and a crisp, clinical D&B mix from Clarity finish the set.
