A Berlin based legend, Jan Driver has not only remixed AVH, Laurent Garnier and Faithless over the years, he's been the go-to engineer for Modeselektor, Siriusmo and Riva Starr too. Following a couple of EPs on Boys Noize's label in 2008, this first full-length EP is as stunning as it is overdue. Approaching low frequencies with no fear whatsoever, "Amatilda" is brilliant example of bass in all its glory - from the live drums vs basspocalypse of "Dozer", the insanely funky "Tin Tin", the slow funk of "Golden Super" or the beautiful ethno-step of Siriusmo-collaboration "Let's Do It Together", Amatilda is simply essential for anyone in thrall to the sounds of modern Berlin tech.
