Review:
The latest release in Chicago label Flapjack's Bite Sized Beats series is devoted to US producers Hogan and Larner, who cook up some classic house flavours over these two tracks. "Freakin' Deep" flips Jodeci's greatest three minutes into a gloriously funky house bomb, while "Sexy Lady" vibes out on a pared-down '70s blaxploitation tip, thanks to some wah guitar, clean Rhodes and excellent brass hits - all tied to gloriously driving disco-house beats.
