Review:
Ever reliably true to the original dubstep sound, DJ Madd crops up on Black Box once again with four diverse yet uniformly bleak steppers. "Blank Space" rides a familiar beat, but gets offset nicely by an eerie refrain, while "Pitfall" keeps the same demeanour but puts a loping groove to work. The real fun to be had is on "Murder 96", which unsurprisingly harks back to classic jungle breaks. It's a cool and deadly assault, restrained in its execution but all the more nagging for it. EP closer "Ritual" lets a little more melody in courtesy of Phaeleh, with tidy results.
