Review:
Rapidly becoming the ubiquitous producer of 2012 even before his LP drops, Distal is at it again with this collaborative effort for Tectonic. HxdB has been steadily garnering praise for his somewhat glossy 140bpm shufflers, and his contribution comes to bear on Distal's wilder tendencies on the restrained and melodic "Booyant". It's a playful track which gets even more jovial once Archie Pelago gets his mitts on it for a remix. Never before did you expect to hear a jazzy saxophone on Tectonic, but it makes total sense in the midst of this madcap and utterly brilliant remix.
