Review:
Exploring the outer regions around the edge of the drum and bass spectrum, Loxy & Resound finally unleash their long awaited Burning Shadows LP on dBridge's Exit label and it's D&B, but not as we know it. Over 13 tracks they stretch the form to its limits, maintaining the air of darkness but experimenting with the genre in a playful manner. Rhythms are continually bent out of shape and sounds come from nowhere and disappear twice as quickly, the duo constantly swooping from leftfield. Challenging but ultimately rewarding.
