Londoner Chip Chabralle describes his style as "chill house" and "tech disco". While that may sound like hyperbole, they're actually fairly apt descriptions for his ear-pleasing blends of deep house, nu-disco, electronica and retro-futurist grooves. "All That She's Been Through", for example, layers glistening electronic melodies, sharp synth-strings and tumbling chords over a woozy, Italo-influenced nu-disco groove, while "0800 CHIP" sounds like a downtenpo, nu-disco-era take on classic US garage. Then there's "Back Up", a decidedly downtempo bumper built around warped electronic bass and spooky piano riffs.
