Review:
There's a growing feeling that the time has come for Berlin-based Brazilian Rotciv to emerge from the shadows. While he's been on the radar of those in the know for some time thanks to a string of quietly impressive edits, remixes and original productions, he's yet to receive wider acclaim. This excellent mini-album of collected original productions could finally tip the balance in his favour. He confidently flits between delicious old skool house, Italo-influenced nu-disco, pleasing deepness, contemporary electrofunk (check the delightful "Need A Fix") and wobbly Kraftwerk-isms, all the while keeping a firm fix on the dancefloor. As with most of his releases, it's well worth a listen.
