Review:
Expect lush, lullaby beats from Physical Illusion on the Celsius label as he brings us his Contraband Funk EP. Kicking off with "With Love", it's all pattering beats, murmuring sub bass, swooning vocal and melancholy chiming piano keys for the duration with a pervasive sense of sadness, which is hard to ignore. The title track offers a more upbeat angle, with quirky melodies, smooth sweeping atmospherics and purposeful, pounding drum beats. A delight from start to finish, this is another great release from Celsius.
