Review:
If you've come looking for bog-standard tool house, then the latest release on Oslo may disappoint. If, on the other hand, you like to mix up acid-fuelled grooves with spacey synth passages, Dambcul is exactly what you've been looking for. The 303-laden title track plays host to breathy synth melodies but doesn't lose its ability to hypnotize even though the musical elements ride a tunnelling groove. "Fakyall" is a filtered, rolling groove which also benefits from Schwartz's mixture of acidic washes and spacey sounds, while "Saket" featuring Kasper is tougher and rougher, as the 303s are filtered over raw beats.
