Review:
Despite a history that stretches back to 2007, Barcelona-based download imprint Digital Delight has yet to really make waves. If this first label collection is anything to go by, that's a pity. You see, Digital Delight specializes in slick, synth-heavy, electronic "music for adults". That means a mix of woozy, contemporary electrofunk (Death On The Balcony, Damian Uzabiaga), twinkling deep house (Matt Fear), bouncy nu-disco (Rebel), Visionquest-ish synth-house (Nobody Knows, Ben Pearce, Lee Webster) and revivalist hip-house (Wildkats' swirling, acid-tinged "112"). The label clearly isn't the finished article just yet, but there's more than enough quality here to suggest further investigation. Recommended.
