Review:
George Kelly aka DJ Butcher runs nu-disco label Chopshop. He's also one half of Captain Futuro, which is either a cape-sporting superhero (is he the legs or the top half?) or an obscure music act. Anyway, here he is spearheading the revival of Go-Go, an 80s hip-hop offshoot which has not been heard of much since a bunch of hits appeared on Now That's What I Call Music 7. "Get Out Your Seat" is a female-led chant-a-long featuring killer slap bass. Elsewhere highlights include the intensely funky "Hit Back" and the bonkers percussion freakout that is "Cranking At The Go-Go".
