Review:
Out on James Holden's Border Community, Swiss singer and producer Kate Wax follows up her debut album for the label with this single release of the LP's title track. An uncluttered and noirish take on acid synths and Chicago rhythms, "Dust Collision" pits a midtempo beat with Wax's siren-like vocals (check out he accompanying acapella to explore further). Solvent contributes a rather stunning, pared-down mix that feeds Wax's vocals through a mild ring modulator, while Margot reduces "Dust Collison" even more into a warm and airless minimal rerub.
