Review:
For their second release on French imprint Totaal Rez, Digital Soap return with a sublime four-tracker guaranteed to give your ears a sonic workout. Expertly blending intricate percussive elements with acoustic guitars, rhodes keys, pads and snappy breakbeats, the French drum & bass threesome certainly make their mark with this cinematic EP. Although veering towards the liquid side of D&B, it's far from one-dimensional, as the experimental and twisted "Redemption" proves. Old school break laden "No Message", provides ample 808s to keep the sub-hungry punters happy while "Way Out" bestows a perfectly balanced mix of twinkly chimes, growling sub-bass and arpeggiated synths. A solid EP.
