Review:
Electronic music of the left of centre variety is on offer here. Coushin favours a glitchy, abstract take on techno, one that comes swathed in mysterious synths on "Opulence" and which is adorned with sad vocals and hushed melodies on "Alonedon". There is a nod to UK bass on the title track's swampy low end, but it's only the remixers who are really in touch with current sounds. Sverca's take on "Opulence" is a droning, off-beat industrial workout, like a cleaner take on Perc while Agony Forces push "Heild" onto the main floor of Berghain with mad horns, slamming beats and cheese-wire percussion acheving the desired effect.
