Review:
Dave Remix got his first break as one of the resident DJs at multi-city student indie disco Propaganda. Over the last couple of years he's moved into production, cutting together all manner of mash-ups and wobble-heavy smashers in a variety of floor-friendly styles. On this original production EP, echoes of that mash-up past are still present (and his love of rock-rave - see "Shoot The Moon"), with formidable breakbeats, scratchy noises and gut-busting basslines the order of the day. The dubstep-influenced "(Come) Feel The Beat" featuring mic man Will Scarlett is probably the pick, though there's something delightfully zany about jungle/funk breaks mash-up "If He Gets Up".
