Whatever about the Chicago house revival, Le Pede BPM makes it sound like Front de Cadeaux has been listening to a lot of Liaisons Dangereuses. The backing groove is stripped back and jerky, eerie synths flash in and out and an androgynous, detached vocal competes with the bleepy tones to be heard. Fabrizio Mammarella opts for a relatively similar approach, but his take comes across more like a proto-house arrangement. Apart from the vocal intoning 'c'est pas de problem', the remix is full of malevolent acid lines and kind of raw, primal jacking that Ron Hardy's Music Box sets specialised in.
