Led by veteran UK analogue fetishist Andy Meecham, the mighty Future Four made a stellar debut on Phantasy Sound earlier this year on a three track EP that felt like a tribute to the spirit of rave and 'ardkore. A diverse array of producers combine on this Future Four remixes EP with the high profile rubbing shoulders with the unknown. Gerd Janson and Lauer's Tuff City Kids steadfastly belong in the former and their take on "Gwad Bwash" is an exercise in release, initially feeling restrained in comparison to the reconstituted hard-core riffs and insane piano vamps of the original but these elements soon burst through with roof raising results. Likewise, Jacques Renault should be a name familiar to all and the Let's Play House founder lives up to his billing, turning "Phase Two" into a vicious analogue monster. It's Dark Circles aka acerbic ASBO resident Boggy that impresses most however with his knowledge of old italo and piano house classics on full display on this excellent remix of "Into Orbit".
