Review:
A New Zealand troupe who evoke many shades of soul and roots, Andrew Spraggon's Sola Rosa are a band yet to have the impact they deserve in Europe - something that will hopefully change with the release of their Get It Together album. With raw funk drums at the core of all their songs, the band are able to evoke anything from soul (on "Turn Around"), psych-rock ("The Ace of Space") or even poppy, Gorillaz-like hip-hop ("Love Alone"). Excellent fun and a wickedly varied adventure of an album.
